  Color Flexibility
May be painted, just like wood, and the quality of the color lasts for 15 years or more.     Colors cannot be changed once installed and are susceptible to fading. And it's difficult – if not impossible – to get a perfect match when repairs are necessary.
  Hail, Wind and Blowing Debris
Has high durability and wearability, and is totally unaffected by precipitation, wind or temperature extremes.     Extremely thin, so it can expand and contract with temperature extremes. Can also easily be damaged or detached during inclement weather.
  Thickness

Strength and thickness provide impact resistance from hail and flying debris.

Premium vinyl siding is only 5/100" thick.
